He’s been dedicated to the music scene for years, playing his first gig at the age of 7 to a crowd at his primary school.

Now the BDI Music singer/songwriter Siôn Russell Jones is bigger and better than ever.

Having opened for Newton Faulkner, showcased at SXSW and played festivals such as Hop-farm and Greenman, he has experience under his belt and is ready to show off more of his talent with the release of his latest EP ‘So Long’.

The 7 track wonder provides us with upbeat, meaningful folk/pop with infectious melodies and a soothing vocal, doing a good job of showcasing the intricacies of his craftsmanship and an abundance of talent.

Siôn studied music at the University of Glamorgan Atrium but says of his passion, “I’m a songwriter and that takes more of a front seat than musicianship. But you can’t learn how to write a song on a music course. It’s something that you’ve got already, but develop by doing as much as you can.”

He’s currently touring all over the UK and has shows lined up for the year, including a slot at Oxjam2013 at the beginning of October.
