Kungs Vs. Cookin’ On 3 Burners’ This Girl retained its position as the UK’s most paid-for single for a fourth straight week on Friday (July 8).

The track remained in second place on the Official UK Singles Chart behind Drake’s One Dance after streaming figures were taken into account, but is still the most downloaded track in the territory.

The original version of This Girl was released by Australian funk trio Cookin’ On 3 Burners in 2009 via indie label [Freestyle]. The remix by French producer Kungs has given it a new lease of life this summer as well as success on a new level, with the track reaching the Top 10 in four other countries along with its No.1 positions in France and Germany.

Bucks Music Group represents two thirds of Cookin’ On 3 Burners, Jake Mason and Ivan Khatchoyan, for publishing on behalf of Origin Music – part of the Alberts Group in Australia.

Bucks’ share of This Girl adds to the company’s involvement in a string of recently successful works including David Bowie’s No.1 album Blackstar, Avicii’s No.2 album Stories, A$AP Rocky’s Top 10 album At.Long.Last.A$AP and many more.
