Missguided caught up with Nuuxs to chat musical inspiration, dream collabs and favourite music videos — check out the full Q&A here

What does a day in the life of NUUXS look like?

I can’t really complain, as it varies all the time– sometimes I’ll get up to go record and write in the studio and sometimes it’ll be a rehearsal or an event I have to go to. I love to write creative stories on the side too and I’m in love with films. I’ll usually cook for myself and save eating out for special occasions with friends and family.

How would you describe your aesthetic and how does it inspire your music?

Again it really varies – I can be an absolute sloucher at times wearing leggings and oversized hoodies and then I’ll feel the urge to dress up a bit more. I’m loving ankle boots at the moment and I try to recycle my old clothes to whatever trends I’m feeling today. I think that in my music videos I really try to indulge in the character– my first single Holy Man was all about cult life so I had everyone wearing black leather jackets as though it were a gang.

Who’s the coolest person you’ve met so far?

What’s the best gig you have ever played?

It’s so hard to choose because I just got back from a tour supporting Skinny Living and it really was all about the people – everyone was so lovely– however I’d have to say The Adelphi Club up in Hull because I’d heard so many unforgiving rumours about the crowds so I was terrified. I was completely overwhelmed at how warm they were and Paul Jackson who owns the place was an absolute legend too.
