Bucks and BDi writers and publishing clients have contributed to what has been described as a ‘Singles Chart takeover’ by Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.

As pointed out by industry trade mage Music Week, the Official UK Singles Chart has been flooded recently by tracks from hit albums.

Ed Sheeran had all 16 tracks from his Divide album in the Top 40 on Friday, scoring nine of the Top 10 for the second consecutive week,” Music Week notes. “Stormzy also had all 16 tracks from his debut, Gang Signs & Prayer, in the Top 100 on release.”

Thanks to the work of BDi writer Amy Wadge on Divide and Bucks’ representation of Ragamuffin Music for the world as well as Razor And Tie and Bicycle Music in the UK and Ireland, which have cuts on Gang Signs & Prayer, the two independent publishers are involved in no less than eight of the Top 100 singles in the UK at the moment.
