Introducing Lesley Scott Our New A&R Manager
Lesley has worked in music and media since arriving in London from Scotland 12 years ago.
- Media: Jo Whiley Show for Channel 4; the Pepsi chart show for Channel 5; the BBC.
- Record Labels: Mushroom Records before joining Independiente Records in 1999 working as A&R Co-ordinator looking after acts like Travis, Paul Weller, So Solid Crew and Martina Topley Bird.
Lesley left Independiente in 2004 and had her son Finlay in June 2005.
Current roles:
- Returnimg to work in April 2006 as Music Co-ordinator for Cinnamon Entertainment, Lesley continues to work on a music animation series called "Freefonix" for BBC1, a heavily music oriented commission involving 40+ writers, 60+ songs and will run 3 times a week on BBC1 at 4.30pm starting later this year.
- Lesley is now at Bucks as A&R manager, mainly dealing with co-writes and cuts. Describing her role, Lesley says, "I am spending a lot of time in meetings with record companies and artist management companies hooking our writers/producers up with artists who are looking for co-writes or songs. I am also putting together in-house writers and producers that I feel will work well together. Basically my aim is to have as many of our writers as possible working on current and successful projects!"
