This month we are celebrating our 40th year in the business. Bucks Music, formally Essex Music, was established in 1967 by David Platz & gained a strong 60s & 70s back catalogue of copyrights including Procol Harum, The Move, David Bowie and Marc Bolan.
Over the last 20 years, Simon Platz has expanded Bucks Music to become a leading International and Independent Music Publisher, based in the UK.

- My Device - The video for “Uh!” is on rotation on MTV's Riot show. "Uh" is featured on their forthcoming album Jumbo Fiasco which will be released on the 5th November.

- Charlie Skarbek's new arrangement of World In Union, as recorded by the World In Union All Stars, was featured throughout ITV's coverage of the Rugby World Cup tournament.

- In association with award winning Salvo Records, Fly Records was proud to announce the release of the 40th Anniversary Series.

- Cube Soundtracks was delighted to announce the release of Nigel Hess' new album, The Food of Love, featuring the internationally-renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The release follows the worldwide success of Nigel Hess’s last soundtrack recording, Ladies in Lavender.

- It was the 30th Anniversary of Marc Bolan's death on the 16th September 2007.
- September saw the BBC broadcast of Primo, a film for television starring Antony Sher, which he has adapted from Primo Levi's account of his time in Auschwitz in his book If This Is A Man. Music is by Jonathan Goldstein.

- Beautiful Liar - Beyoncé's single featuring Shakira, won an MTV VMA. The track is co-written by Bucks writer Amanda Ghost.
- Freaks - Creeps (Get On The Danceflooor) entered the Official UK Singles Chart at #9 on 08/09/07.

The same week it was also #1 in the Official Dance singles chart; #1 on the TV Airplay chart; #1 on the MTV most played chart; fifth most played on Radio 1 and 21st most played in the country as a whole. - TC 'Evolution' was Album of the Week on Zane's Lowes show (24th September). It was released on the 1st October on D-Style Recordings & gained some great reviews.

- Kanye West sampled Can on his latest chart topping album.
- In August Amnesty International used the much loved, classic TV theme 'Black Beauty' for a promotional comedy sketch.
- Professor Green toured Scotland in July with The Beats tour...supporting Mike Skinner's The Streets.

This was ahead of the Get Loaded festival on Clapham Common at the end of August. - In June the wonderful band Motion Pictures signed to 1965 Records.
- In May congratulations went to BDi (Bucks sister company) for their first Ivor Novello Award for Martin Phipps' Soundtrack The Virgin Queen.

- Ils - signed via Hope Music Ltd for the new material and Pocket Rocket Music Ltd for the back catalogue.
