Linn Koch-Emmery

Biography

Effortlessly mixing classic pop melodies with the likes of a 90’s fuzzy guitar sound, Linn Koch-Emmery has been stated as one of the most rapid rising stars in modern indie rock.

As London In Stereo put it: “With a guitar driven sound described as both speaker breaking yet catchy, she has built a reputation of providing melodies so sharp they bury their way into your head for weeks.”

Debuting in 2017 she quickly gained attention on blogs and media worldwide and with four out of eight released songs making it onto national and international radio the buzz around the messy haired, bright eyed Swede was a fact. Linn was also selected as ‘Artist of the Future’ by Swedish National Radio P3 and was nominated as a newcomer at the prestigious Gold Awards 2019.

Since then, Koch-Emmery has completed her first European tour as well as playing shows and festivals in the US, Mexico and the UK. Linn has a tireless work ethic – evidenced by the more than 40 shows she’s played in 2019 already. She will play the Honduras stage at Bananpiren Way Out West on Friday 9 August.

With 2 Eps under her belt, Linn is currently recording her much anticipated full debut album scheduled for 2020.

‘’…songs such as ‘Forever Sounds’ and ‘Waves’ remind us of Teenage Fanclub and The Breeders respectively – but Koch Emmery has both eyes firmly fixated on the future. She’s another revelation that will surely become a household name over the coming months.” Drowned In Sound

‘…sky scraping guitar rock….. Linn Koch Emmery nails the art of no-mess, sweet spot guitar rock’
