Biography

Sam McCarthy has been playing music since he was 15 — childhood years were spent in Portsmouth writing songs and playing in the local bars — when he hit 21, he made the move to London writing and recording a selection of beautiful love songs: ‘If You Could See Me’ performed by Eliza Doolittle and 2 further songs from his album, ‘Home’ and ‘Cherry Tree’ which feature in the BBC sitcom series, ‘Gavin & Stacey’. Sam has since been writing songs with a string of artists: Harry Styles from One Direction, Geri Halliwell, Luke Pritchard from The Kooks, Asha, Pepper and singer-songwriter, Amy Wadge [Ed Sheeran/Josh Kumra/Lewis Watson], he is currently developing his new artist project, PETS. Sam has also been engrossed in development production & writing for some key breaking artists: Dan Owen [Universal], Shannon Saunders, [Caroline Records], Dagny [Far South Music],  Matt Wills [Virgin], The Cogo [Syco], Matt Woods, Sion Russell Jones, Orla Gartland & Jake Quickenden.
