David Bowie's Space Oddity in Space


History was made today with the launch of Elon Musk’s midnight cherry Tesla Roadster car into space which will have David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ playing from its radio for eternity. Musk used a super rocket — the Falcon Heavy vehicle — to send the car into orbit around Mars, deploying technology with twice the launch power of any existing rocket. At the convertible’s wheels is SpaceX’s ‘starman’, a dummy in a white-and-black trimmed spacesuit. Check out the full story here
