Award-winning teacher and star of Sky Kids’ Wonder Raps MC Grammar (Jacob Mitchell) returns with his second World Book Day song Reading Is Amazing, a follow up to last years The World Book Day Song which has been viewed over 850,000 times on YouTube. Celebrating MC Grammar’s passion and love for reading, this new song takes us on a journey through a magical world of books. The catchy track features a rap that includes references to more than 30 different children’s books all chronicled in MC Grammar’s unique and imaginative style. References include iconic children’s stories as well as modern favourites. The song, created in partnership with the charity, celebrates and supports World Book Day’s mission to encourage reading. The song and associated music video were created as part of the continued deal between MC Grammar and Monkey to create original animated and live-action television content, which aims to entertain and educate children all over the world.

World Book Day changes lives through a love of books and shared reading. Our mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. Reading for pleasure is the single biggest indicator of a child’s future success – more than their family circumstances, their parents’ educational background or their income. We want to see more children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a life-long habit of reading for pleasure and the improved life chances this brings them. Designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries around the globe. worldbookday.com
