BIOG

Louis and The Shakes are a London-bred indie rock force with a swaggering, riff-driven sound that blends cinematic swagger, gritty hooks and thunderous rhythms. With a live reputation that’s seen them light up stages at Isle of Wight Festival, YNOT Festival and The Great Escape, the band have also sold out iconic London rooms including the 100 Club and The Moth Club.

Sonically the band draw on an expansive palette of influences, from gritty indie rock to bluesy undertones and laser-sharp guitar hooks that has seen critics liken their sound to the visceral drive of Arctic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age and The Black Keys, with the cinematic expansiveness of modern alt-rock. Their music combines heavy hooks, slick guitar lines and dynamic rhythms with introspective, resonant lyricism that makes every track feel both immediate and timeless.

Their single “On One” not only captured audiences with its swaggering rock sensibility but earned the band a sync license on VR guitar-hero-inspired game Unplugged, placing them alongside celebrated names from rock history. The band’s music has also featured across major sports networks including Sky Sports and TNT, and national radio plays have further amplified their broad cultural reach.

Driven by infectious energy, cinematic songwriting and a fearless live presence, Louis and The Shakes continue to build momentum as one of the most exciting voices in British indie rock today.
