Writer of melodies, singer of songs. Jamie McCool is an extraordinary singer-songwriter whose distinctive tones are taking the airwaves by storm. Originally from County Armagh, Northern Ireland, Jamie moved to Manchester at the age of 10.
His songwriting journey began when he co-wrote "Counting On Me" performed by Aloe Blacc and produced by Purple Disco Machine and Aeroplane. However, it was Jamie's debut solo release, "You My Friend," in collaboration with BtheLick, that propelled him into the spotlight. The song took the number one position on the Spotify Viral Charts in Germany, and peaked at number 12 on the Spotify Global Charts.
Drawing inspiration from his roots and love for drum and bass music, Jamie McCool joined forces with three icons of the UK scene: DJ Fresh, Think Tonk, and Liam Bailey. During a routine busking session, Jamie caught the attention of Think Tonk. Blown away by McCool's voice, Think Tonk wasted no time in expressing his admiration and immediately proposed a collaboration with DJ Fresh and Liam Bailey. The combined talent and passion of this powerhouse lineup resulted in the creation of the irresistible sounds of "Rivers". McCool followed up this success with another collaboration, "You Don't Understand" alongside electronic royalty High Contrast. The nostalgic, cinematic cut that garnered support across BBC Radio 1 has garnered over 3 million streams.
Internationally, Jamie's stock has risen through his working relationship with Belgian drum and bass superstar USED. Their single 'You Say' has crossed over into a singalong anthem, as the duo have performed it live across Europe to thousands of fans. They linked up again for USED's debut full length LP with the featured launch single 'LOVE'.
Most recently Jamie leant his tones to UK stalwart Rules for their record 'Wanna Be Somewhere With You'. This marks the first of the next chapter of high profile features for McCool's unique talent moving into 2025.
