Sonny’s debut EP ‘Grime Is Punk’ was released Friday 13th May 2016 through Hostage Music. His first single “Bars” became a Guardian single of the week, as well as being playlisted on BBC Radio One Xtra.

His second video release from the EP, ‘F*ck Off’, released on GRM Daily, garnered thousands of YouTube views.

After supporting Asian Dub Foundation at a gig at Broadwater Farm, he was quickly recruited to join them live and to date he has played over 50 venues across Europe, consistently delivering confident live performances, and opening for a variety of performers including Pete Doherty.

Following the release of ‘Grime Is Punk Vol II’ on Hostage Music, Sonny was invited to record a live Maida Vale session for BBC Introducing.

His third and latest EP ‘Unfinished Business’ was a collaboration with beat maestro Asif Kid and was released on Hostage Music on the 27th April 2018. Lead single ‘Gratitude Game’ received a premiere from Clash Magazine and the song received major support from Radio 1 Xtra’s DJ Target. The video for ‘Gratitude Game’ was directed and shot by Sonny himself and received major support from Grime Report. Sonny played his first headline show in his hometown Southend to mark the EP’s release.
