Today's UK Google Doodle celebrates the award-winning artist Lizzie Emeh. Lizzie was one of Heart n Soul's key artists. She made history on 9th October 2009 with the release of her debut album Loud and Proud, becoming the first solo artist with a learning disability to release an album of original songs in the UK.

Lizzie later went on to release more music, including her 3-part EP trilogy 'See Me' and win national awards for her achievements in music. Lizzie passionately championed the rights of people with learning disabilities and inspired a whole range of disabled artists to develop careers in the music industry. 

Lizzie's sister Monica says: “Lizzie would have been so proud to know she is being honoured in this way, Lizzie was loud, proud, positive, happy and joyful!”
