New 4-part period drama 'Miss Austen' started broadcasting on BBC One last night (2nd February 2025). The series features the original score by Dominik Scherrer (obo Bonnie Productions). You can catch up now on BBC Iplayer and watch live on BBC One Sundays at 9pm. 

Miss Austen is a 4 part drama series based on the novel by Gill Hornby and follows the story of Cassandra, Jane Austen’s lesser-known sister. Pivoting between earlier and later years of Cassandra’s life, the series centres around the literary mystery – Cassandra notoriously burning her famous sister Jane’s letters, and reimagines it as a fascinating, witty and heart-breaking story of sisterly love, while creating in Cassandra a character as captivating as any Austen heroine.
