New Signing: Bigo & Twigetti

We are excited to have signed an administration deal with London-based independent record label Bigo & Twigetti. A big thank you to Music Week for featuring the signing.

Bigo & Twigetti mixes classical music, electronica, sound design and more. The company established platforms such as Bandcamp and Spotify long before the wider classical music industry.

The label’s artists now garner tens of millions of streams per month, with the company having achieved over 500 million streams in the last two years across Spotify, Amazon, Apple and Deezer. The streaming consumption is alongside regular radio play in the UK and worldwide.

“The company is known for encouraging experimentation and creative freedom in its artists,” said a statement. “This has attracted musicians normally found recording Hollywood soundtracks or touring with major rock bands, who come looking to stretch themselves.”

Artists and acts with releases through the label include Curve Ensemble, Franco Robert, Koshun Nakao, Marika Takeuchi, Christopher Dicker, Wilson Trouvé, Rael Jones, Fiona Brice and Ed Harcourt.

Also releasing via the label is Bigo & Twigetti founder Jim Perkins (pictured), a composer and producer whose work has been performed at The Institute of Contemporary Arts (London), The Turner Contemporary, The National Portrait Gallery and London’s Southbank Centre.

Perkins’ music has been streamed over 50 million times across Spotify, Apple Music and Deezer and has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, Radio 6 Music, NPR, WNYC and RTE.

He has released four full-length albums: Grains (2011), Constance (2015), Pools (2019) and Imprints (2023).

Howard Price, head of media at Bucks Music Group, said: “Partnering with Bigo & Twigetti is an exciting and motivating step for Bucks. It brings a rich catalogue lovingly driven and curated by Jim, exploring new soundscapes and textures, including repertoire by unique and experimental talent such as Curve Ensemble, Franco Robert, Koshun Nakao, Marika Takeuchi, Christopher Dicker, Wilson Trouvé and Fiona Brice, as well as Jim himself.

“The way in which Bigo & Twigetti has developed is extremely impressive. We are working together with Jim and the team to realise worldwide opportunities, develop sync and enhance administration. We’re looking forward to a long-term, prosperous relationship.”
