Testimony is a powerful documentary that follows the courageous fight for justice by survivors of Ireland’s Magdalene Laundries and Mother and Baby Homes. With the support of Justice for Magdalenes (JFM), these women expose decades of institutional abuse, from forced labour and family separations to state and church complicity. Their journey—from grassroots activism to delivering testimony at the UN—reveals both the resilience of survivors and the ongoing struggle for accountability.

The judges praised the score’s restrained composition and sensitivity, stating that “Beautifully restrained, the score displays remarkable sensitivity and emotional depth, creating an evocative internal world that is powerfully and elegantly conveyed to the audience.”
