The Jacques are having quite the moment. Fresh from touring with Public Image Ltd (where John Lydon took them under his wing after their van was stolen), the London-via-Bristol trio have dropped 'Ramona', a left-field indie gem ahead of their second album 'Make Repetition!' (out 5 September). Marking a bold stylistic shift, 'Ramona' trades scruffy guitars for ’80s new-wave shimmer, blending power-pop synth hooks, taut disco beats and Finn O’Brien’s playful vocal. It’s Talking Heads meets Blondie, but with the sharp British indie bite that’s made them cult favourites.
