Troy Miller is a talented multi-instrumentalist, producer, songwriter and conductor. Troy began drumming professionally when Roy Ayers asked him to join him on tour in 2003. After touring with Ayers, other opportunities with major acts followed, and in 2006 Miller got a call from Amy Winehouse to join her band. He went on to be an integral part of Winehouse’s band for five years. Subsequently, Troy has toured and performed with Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Laura Mvula, Macy Gray, George Benson and Mark Ronson, to name a few.

Troy has written and produced albums for Rebecca Ferguson, ‘Super Woman’, and Laura Mvula’s last 3 album the most notable being, ‘The Dreaming Room’, which was nominated for a Mercury Prize in 2016 and won Album of the Year at the Ivor Novello Awards 2017. Miller has also produced Rag n Bone Man, Jamie Cullum and Gregory Porter, who’s 2016 top ten album ‘Liquid Spirit’ went on to win a Grammy Award for best Jazz vocals. Troy also co-produced and co-wrote double platinum global hit single, ‘Giant’, released by Calvin Harris and Rag‘n’Bone Man in 2019 and which NO.1 in the World Billboard Dance charts. Also in 2019,Troy produced Emeli Sandé’s new album, ‘Real Life’, which features musician, Nile Rogers and which garnered a featured song in X‑Men Film Trailer. Ever expanding his talents, Troy also composes and scores for orchestra and has conducted the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC Concert Orchestra. In 2017 Miller put together a concert of his own arrangements of Laura Mvula’s studio albums for a special performance in which he conducted the London Symphony Orchestra at the Barbican. In March, 2019, Troy curated the opening performance of the Roundhouse Gala 2019, a fundraising event for a very worthy charitable organisation. Tail end of 2019, Troy produced and co-wrote Gregory Porter’s new album. The first single ‘Revival’ released in January 2020 and was performed live at Gregory’s showcase performance at the Universal Grammy After Show Party on 26th January 2020 with Troy as Musical Director. In June, PPL announced that ‘Giant’ reached No.1 position for most played song during 2019. Troy wins an Ivor Novello Award on 2nd Sept 2020 alongside, Calvin Harris, Rag n Bone Man and Jamie Hartman with ‘Giant’ winning ‘Most Performed Work’. Gregory Porter’s album ALL RISE charted at NO.3 in the Official UK album charts in Sept 2020 for which Troy produced and co-wrote on the album. In 2021 Troy produced and co-wrote on Diana Ross’s Grammy 2023 nominated album, THANKYOU.
